Kayee Au (2010), Co-Founder of Kumquat, a woman-led, pan-African design consultancy, was selected to be a keynote speaker at the Graduate School of Business - University of Cape Town's Women in Business Conference.
Brandon Cardet-Hernandez (2003) is the Founder and CEO of Medley Learning, which was just named Startup of the Year at Institute for Education Innovation's SupeTank, voted on by superintendents from across the country. Medley Learning was also named to Fast Company's list of World Changing Ideas.
Medley Learning’s mission is to make grade-level learning accessible for all multilingual learners by automatically adding research-backed, customized scaffolds to existing classroom materials based on each student’s English proficiency.
Derrius Quarles (2009) was asked to join a distinguished group of speakers addressing the National Urban League Conference for the Wealth for Generations: A Blueprint for Financial Empowerment forum.
Daniel McFarland (2011) was selected as the 2026 Outstanding Alumni Award recipient of the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences Masters of Health Administration Program.
Bridget Meacham Kowalski (2002) was named in Pennsylvania’s “40 in their 40’s” list. Bridget is SVP and CFO for the Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra.
Andrew Brennen (2014), a recent graduate of Columbia Law School, received the 2026 Student Leadership Award from the from the National LGBTQ+ Bar Association. As an NAACP Marshall-Motley Scholar, he has committed his legal career to practicing civil rights law in the South.
Ananya Murali (2016) performed the national anthem on violin at a recent Milwaukee Brewers game and was excited to be on the big screen.
