June 2022 Accolades

Michelle Peluso (1989), EVP and Chief Customer Officer of CVS Health, was inducted into the 2022 Forbes CMO Hall of Fame. She has appeared on this list in the past when she was CMO of Citigroup and IBM.
Neagheen Homaifar (2006) starred in the movie Before Dawn, Kabul Time. The story takes place in the wake of the Americans announcing their withdrawal from Afghanistan as an Afghan prosecutor fleeing from the Taliban seeks the help of an American journalist to evacuate Kabul before the last plane departs.
Lucas San Miguel (2020) was awarded a national scholarship from the US Department of State called the Critical Language Scholarship to study Chinese at Changchun Humanities and Sciences College in Changchun, China, this summer. The scholarship is to help American college and university students to learn languages essential to America’s engagement with the world and national security. Lucas was also given an award from Emory called The Heart of Emory Award, “given to individuals who represent the best of what Emory has been and will be. These individuals are active, passionate contributors to the Emory community; engaged individuals who have created a legacy through connection, creativity and a commitment to social justice.”
Hilary Corna (2003) gave the commencement address at her alma mater, Elon University.
Chloe Decker (2021) was the recipient of the Julie Anne Levey Memorial Leadership Award, which was given to 3 first-year students at Duke University for our promise as new student leaders.
Victor Agbafe (2015) was interviewed by BBC News about his journey and motivations to improve our healthcare system. He discussed his experiences and understanding of different languages of communication as an MD/JD student at the University of Michigan Medical School and Yale Law School. Victor was also invited to participate in the White House Clinical Innovator Roundtable Series by the White House Office of Public Engagement.
David Spicer (2019) was elected as the next MIT student body president. This position is especially special to him as his predecessor, Danielle Geathers, is a 2018 Coke Scholar.
Jamie Williams, CCSF’s Director of Scholarships, presented “What (and Who) Matters to High-ability, High-achieving Students When Choosing a College?” at the USPAA (Undergraduate Scholars Program Administrators Association) conference, and received the newly-created USPAA Jamie Williams Trailblazer Award recognizing his contributions to the field and to USPAA.
LaQuanda Prince, CCSF’s Finance Manager, was featured on a panel at the American Institute of CPAs conference.
