Jackson Blackwell (2017) was selected to represent Alaska at the 2025 Western Governors’ Association Leadership Institute and Shine Gerkariah (2024) received the David Nicklas Organ Donor Awareness Foundation Award for their advocacy and research in ethical innovation and health equity.
May 2025 Scholar Accolades

Alumni Connections June 2013
Kaitlyn Chana, Laura Brown and Lauren Kuhn (all 2009 Scholars, in photo on right), close friends since their Coke Scholars Weekend four years ago, met up for a reunion in New York City recently.
South Korea Scholarship Program
Nilusha S. Jayasinghe and Derrius Quarles (both 2009 Scholars and good friends) spent their spring break in Seoul, South Korea on a scholarship they both received called the CIEE South Korea Scholarship Program! While there, they realized that Celia Zhang a 2009 Coca-Cola Scholar attending Harvard was also in their group.
