Annually, the Coca-Cola Scholars Foundation receives thousands of applications from high school seniors and we review every one carefully. The selection process we have developed ensures that each year we award scholarships to those who are most committed to positive leadership in
serving others and to academic excellence.
1. Apply Online
The application for high school seniors is available on our website beginning in August through the October 31 deadline.
2. Submit Application
Doing forget to click submit once you are done! A submission confirmation will appear after you click submit.
3. Semifinalist Selection
We review all online submissions and applicants learn by mid-November whether they will become one of the roughly 2000 semifinalists.
4. Submit Additional Material
The semifinalists submit additional materials by late December. Materials include a biographical questionnaire, official transcript and recommendations.
5. Program Review Committee
The Program Review Committee, which includes former Scholars, reviews semifinalist applications in early January.
6. Finalist Selection
Semifinalists learn by late January if they will be one of 250 regional finalists.
7. Regional Interviews
Regional finalists schedule regional interviews either in person or via video conference to take place in early February.
8. Coca-Cola Scholar Selection
After regional interviews, 150 finalists will be named Coca-Cola Scholars. The remaining 100 regional finalists will be awarded educational stipends of $1,000.
9. Scholars Weekend in Atlanta
The 150 Coca-Cola Scholars attend Scholars Weekend in April, where they meet their peers for a time of inspiration, fun, and camaraderie. Coca-Cola Scholars will all be awarded a minimum of $20,000 in scholarship funds.
10. National Selection Committee
During Scholars Weekend, Coca-Cola Scholars complete for 10 additional scholarships of $10,000 as determined by the National Selection Committee.
11. The Alumni Family
The Coca-Cola Scholars Weekend marks the beginning of a lifelong connection among new scholarship recipients and the extended family of thousands of Coca-Cola Scholars.
