Tanya VanCourt (1989) pitched her company Goalsetter on ABC’s Shark Tank
Tanya VanCourt (1989) pitched her company Goalsetter to the “sharks” on ABC’s Shark Tank in March. Her fellow 1989 Scholar Nelda Brown wrote, “Her company embodies the spirit of what we have always promoted through the Scholars Foundation. She’s a great example of yet another Coke Scholar making an important difference in our community.”
Speaking of Shark Tank, Shaan Patel (2007), who pitched his SAT prep company, Prep Expert, on Shark Tank several years ago and accepted an offer from Mark Cuban, has been named to INC. Magazine’s 30 Under 30 list. Read about how Shaan went from growing up in a motel to running a $6 million dollar test-prep business.

Rosalyn Menon Kennedy (1997) was named as a Forty Under 40 honoree in Utah. Honorees are innovating the future of the business landscape in Utah while building communities that will inspire the next generation of entrepreneurs.

Justin Pasquariello (1997) gave a TedX talk at Bryant University, “Why Joy is Not a Solo Sport”.
