Brennen Feder Named 2018 Sandy Williams Alumni Legacy Scholar

The Coca-Cola Scholars Alumni Advisory Board has selected Brennen Feder as the recipient of the Sandy Williams Alumni Legacy Scholarship (SWALS). This scholarship is awarded to an active and passionate Coke Scholar who is an engaged and supportive alumnus, and embodies the Coca-Cola Scholars Foundation’s mission as a socially conscious, service-minded change agent. After Coca-Cola Scholars from the class of 2017 nominated several of their peers for the award, Brennen was selected by the Alumni Advisory Board because of his communal leadership style, strong vision, and desire to work with the alumni board and serve as a voice for undergraduate Scholars.

His nominator wrote, “While any Coke Scholar would be more than willing to dedicate their time to this position, Brennen has already begun without the need for a title. He has been unbelievably active in the Coke Scholars community and for Coca-Cola. He is passionate about making a difference and driven as a member of the Coca-Cola family to do good. I can think of no one more deserving than Brennen of this position.”

The SWALS scholarship includes a $5,000 award to attend a meaningful leadership or service enrichment experience and 2 years of service on the Alumni Advisory Board starting in the fall of 2017.

Brennen Feder is from Tucson, Arizona and a sophomore at the University of Arizona. He’s pursuing a dual-degree in Education Leadership, Literacy, and Learning and Business. Currently, he serves as the Senator for the College of Education, and as a member of The College of Education Dean’s Advisory Board, Student Service Fee Advisory Board, and The University of Arizona Strategic Planning Committee. Additionally, he is the President of Sophos Sophomore Honorary and an Arizona Ambassador tour guide. He is also the Coca-Cola Campus Ambassador on his campus where he promotes the company’s products and initiatives.

“I’m extremely excited to serve as the next SWALS and am eager to meet more Scholar alumni.” said Brennen.
