Sophie Wix (2014) was selected for a research-based Fulbright Award to the UK. She will do cancer research at Cambridge Institute in the UK this fall and is pursuing a 1-year MPhil in Medical Science studying breast cancer at Cambridge. Sophie is the first Trojan to be named a UK Fulbright Scholar in the USC History! “I would not have applied for the Fulbright had it not been for my fellow Coke Scholars motivating me to apply. Michaella Gallina (2006) and Blitz won Champion at the National Show at Spruce Meadows in Calgary, Alberta. The two competed against professional and amateur riders and horses from all over the world.
Alissa Anderegg (2012, right), Miss Greater East Bay 2018, competed at the Miss California completion, placing in the Top 15, and was named the Miss America Community Service Winner for the second year. She connected with fellow 2012 Scholar Cara Mund (Miss America 2018) at the competition.
Gabriel Nagel (2023) was selected as the Chairperson of the United States Environmental Protection Agency’s National Environmental Youth Advisory Council, making him the youngest Chairperson of an official U.S. federal advisory council.
2023 Scholars Reya Singh and Mandy Zhang created New Roots Financial, an organization dedicated to helping immigrants and refugees become financially literate, after they connected at the 2023 Coca-Cola Scholars Leadership Development Institute.
