March 2020 Accolades

Nancy Redd (1999) wrote a new children’s book, Bedtime Bonnet. This joyous and loving celebration of family is the first-ever picture book to highlight Black nighttime hair traditions–and is perfect for every little girl who knows what it’s like to lose her bonnet just before bedtime. Sneha Dave (2016) received the AAPD Paul G. Hearne Emerging Leader Award at the AAPD Gala in Washington, DC. Manraj Singh (2012, pictured above) and Sunny Sandhu (2016) were there to cheer her on as guests of The Coca-Cola Company.
Dr. Tyrha M. Lindsey-Warren (1990) was featured in VoyageDallas for starting the Waco Family & Faith International Film Festival.
In honor of her grandmother, the late Marlys Krein (above), Jenny Krein (1995) set up a $500 scholarship for graduating seniors who exemplify Marlys’s well-known spirit of volunteerism.
Pamela Petterchak (2018), the National Venturing Officers’ Association President from Missouri, was selected as one of 13 outstanding Scouts to deliver the Boy Scouts of America’s Report to the Nation.
